Melanie trained as an accountant with a firm in Chester qualifying in 1995. In 1997 she decided she needed a new challenge and as a result joined the firm as a manager in Holywell. She later obtained her practising certificate and became a partner in 2003.

She takes an active role in the overall running of the practice.
