Celebrating 20 Years of Gardners Accountants // 16th November 2010
Back in 1990 John Gardner took over the established accountancy practice of Norman Jones, located on Brynford Street, Holywell. Fast forward 20 years and Gardners Chartered Accountants is now one of North Wales’ leading accountants.
While John Gardner was happy to let the landmark anniversary pass quietly by, his dedicated team had other ideas. Organised by fellow directors Melanie Langton-Davies and Andrew Filbee, all 20 members of staff along with John’s wife, and daughter, surprised John with a luncheon celebration at the Stables, Soughton Hall, Mold.
Melanie says: “It was quite a trial keeping everything secret and then trying to get John out of the office without him realising what was going on – but we managed it in the end.”
John says: “This year saw the twentieth anniversary of my arrival here in Holywell and to celebrate the occasion my colleagues organized a surprise lunch and invited my wife Vicky and youngest daughter Abigail to share in the occasion.
“The surprise was really well organized and in addition to this they clubbed together to buy me a rather splendid garden seat which now sits proudly in my garden at home. A very big thank you to them all!”
