Staff at Gardners Accountants, Holywell raise money for unique HIV/AIDS social respite centre, Tyddyn Bach Trust. // 11th May 2010
Staff at Gardners Accountants, Holywell have raised £400 for unique HIV/AIDS social respite centre, Tyddyn Bach Trust.
Tyddyn Bach, based in Penmaenmawr, is the only social respite centre in Wales and the money will be used towards the running costs of the centre, which receives no statutory funding.
The £400 was raised through Gardners offering their old computers to members of staff in return for donations after the chartered accountancy firm had a complete upgrade of their computing systems and PC’s.
Director at Gardners Melanie Langton-Davies is delighted with the kindness of the Gardners team. She says:
“We’re really pleased that our staff have been so generous with their donations. We help Tyddyn Bach with their accounts and know them to be a really deserving charity. They are unique in what they provide and have helped hundreds of people receive support and understanding.”
Tyddyn Bach Chair and Trustee, Teresa Carnall, received the money on behalf of the charity. She says:
“We’re extremely grateful to all the staff and directors at Gardners for their generosity. Tyddyn Bach provides a unique service to all those affected by HIV/AIDS and provides a place where people can unwind, relax and be themselves, and it’s donations of this nature help enormously.”
