Gardners Director, John Gardner shares his love of gardening, his dislike of the media along with how he's help make Gardners into one of Wales' leading chartered accountants.

Our senior partner was interviewed as part of Border Business magazine's '60 Seconds' feature, where eminent business people are asked to share the secrets to their success as well as give an insight into what makes them tick. John confessed to loving the outdoor life while having a pet hate for both negative people and ironically the media!

He puts his business success down to three things - establishing clear goals, creating clear strategies to achieve them and above all - hard work.

Giving his best advice to other businesses John says:

"At whatever stage you are at in business you need to focus on what success means to you. Your personal goals are key to your happiness and your success. So remain focused in order that you can make good decisions promptly, however difficult they are, ensuring that you make them before others make them for you."
